Problems with DCH3416 DVR recording a season pass with new episodes only?
I have Time Warner Cable and have recently been given a Motorola DCH3416 DVR. In short, it’s pure crap. I make a season pass of something…choosing “new” episodes only, and it records many duplicates. It’s fine with network shows, but seems to have issues with cable shows. At first I thought there was just something wrong with the box I had, and exchanged it for a new one. Now, the same thing is happening. Is anyone else having the same problem? Is there anyway to fix this? I’m getting tired of constantly looking at “future recordings” to cancel ALL the repeats of a show I watched a week ago.
No they are all duplicates from the same channel. For example, a show (new) airs at 8pm, and then a repeat of that show airs later that day at midnight. It will record both. Sometimes it will continue recording that one episode until next weeks NEW episode…then, it starts again. Fortunately, it doesn’t happen with all shows.
