How do I record shows on my DVR?

I just got my dvr installed but i dont know how to record shows? Can someone tell me how to o so?

Look for "Guide" button on your remote to bring up a program guide.
Use the arrow keys to select a show.
Your remote should have a "Record" button or a red button. With a show highlighted, press the Record button.
It may ask you some other questions - but this is the basic concept.
